Terms of Service
These terms govern your access to and use of the ShiftScout platform. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using ShiftScout ('the Service'), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. ShiftScout is operated by ShiftScout, Inc.
2. Account & eligibility
Accounts are intended for licensed Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists or authorized facility representatives. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials current, and notify us of unauthorized access.
3. Employer & facility connections
ShiftScout facilitates connections between CRNAs and hiring organizations. We do not employ CRNAs and we are not party to any employment, locum, or staffing agreement. All hiring, contracting, and compensation terms are between you and the facility.
4. Credential documents
Documents you upload — including licenses, DEA registrations, certifications, and malpractice coverage — are stored on your behalf. You retain ownership of these records. You authorize ShiftScout to share specific documents with employers only when you explicitly initiate or accept that share action.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited behavior includes uploading false credentials, harassing other users, scraping content, attempting to reverse-engineer the platform, or interfering with other users' access. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
6. Community conduct
Discussion areas are professional spaces. Treat others respectfully, keep posts relevant to CRNA practice, and do not share patient information or anything that violates HIPAA. Moderators may remove posts or suspend accounts at their discretion.
7. Subscriptions & paid features
Some advanced features may be offered on a subscription basis. Pricing, renewal, and cancellation terms will be presented at checkout. Recurring fees continue until you cancel. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
8. Intellectual property
ShiftScout, its logo, design, source code, and copy are owned by ShiftScout, Inc. You retain ownership of content you upload, but grant us a limited license to host, display, and process that content as needed to operate the Service.
9. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The Service is provided 'as is.' ShiftScout does not guarantee the accuracy of facility listings, compensation figures, or third-party content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShiftScout's aggregate liability is limited to fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, or where required by law. On termination we will retain certain records per our privacy policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
